Chelsea Brown – Instructor

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Chelsea Brown moved to Atlanta and became exposed to all the styles of pole dancing there.

Chelsea is a student of the pole who has trained with Amy Hazel and Natasha Wang, two of the most legendary contemporary artists of the genre. After signing up for Semester At Sea, a study abroad program on a ship that visits over ten countries during four months, she was able to solidify her passion for pole. Studying abroad allowed her to take fun and interactive classes related to her biology major while also participating in pole classes in Vietnam, Japan, and China.

In almost two years, she became inspired to teach English in China, allowing her to pursue her passion for pole occasionally while traveling to surrounding Asian countries. Additionally, she studied aerial hoops and sling in China and fell in love with exotic pole dancing.

Currently, Chelsea is a pole teacher at Cirque Alaska and approaches each class with a blend of her own creative routines combined with those of the greats who inspire her every day to be better.

OpenDance Academy

If for whatever reason the studio in the city does not work for you, you may find the community you like in the virtual pole fitness classes at OpenDance Academy.

Among the instructors at OpenDance Academy, pole dancing is considered to be an art form combining choreography and acrobatics. As with any art form, it has undergone changes – new movements, new faces, and new takes on old information.

Dance, like any form of exercise, has incredible fitness benefits – increases strength, increases flexibility, and pretty soon those legs you admire could be yours! Pole dancing is more than simply a source of happiness; it can also be very emotional. Exercise in general produces endorphins, which make you feel good.

Pole dancing is most importantly a graceful and empowering form of dance. Fitness and exercise routines are said to be the most popular activity worldwide. Learners are not restricted by moves, even though they are passed on. Pole dancing is a truly expressive, creative sport, as pole dancers bring their own identities, passions, and ideas to the process.

In making pole dancing a part of your life, as so many before you have, we would be honored to have you join us as one of our inclusive, artistic movements.

A lot of time has been spent shaping, evolving, and loving this sport – and now it’s your turn to pass it on. Open Dance Academy can help you achieve your goals by providing online lessons from World Best Athletes!
