Sadly, pole dancing classes in Anchorage, AK are few and far between. In fact, we only found one studio in the city and surrounding areas.
We have given you an in-depth look at the studio that is available. However, should for whatever reason you decide that that option isn’t suitable, we’ve got something else for you – read on!
Atlanta’s Aerialists support the philosophy that our bodies can grow, stretch, and flex because of their strength, possibilities, and flexibility used on a pole. No matter our height, weight, age, or gender, we create flows and routines that reflect who we are inside.
It is an uplifting, yet constructive community, fierce, yet kind, and incredibly accepting. Pole celebrates the growth that comes from overcoming obstacles, of being limitless and creatively free.
They strive to provide an inclusive environment for everyone, no matter their age or gender. With the support of their coaches, instructors, and community, they wish to challenge our students in a way that shows them what they can do physically and mentally.
The instructors help their students develop strength, flexibility, sensuality, and creativity while creating a unique training program based on their individual goals and needs.
Students learn to love their bodies for what they can accomplish through hard work and dedication.
Classes are taught Monday through Saturday, mornings and evenings. Unless told otherwise by an instructor, new students must start with Introduction to Pole.
To ensure a solid learning experience adequate use of equipment, all classes must be booked online. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
What Should You Bring To Class?
Dress comfortably in a tank top and shorts that reach at least mid-thigh (compression shorts are a good option). Layer up with warmer outer layers if needed.
In a confined space, personal hygiene is very important. Be sure to remove any loose jewelry and wash off any lotion. Your safety is their top priority. Keep hydrated by bringing a water bottle and yoga mat if you like!
Do They Offer Refunds For Late Students/Cancellations?
Once class begins, the door will be locked since pole requires a lengthy warm-up that can lead to injury if not done. It would be helpful if you arrived early to change if necessary and to set up for class.
If a student cancels within four hours of the class, he or she will be charged a fine of $20. Please cancel your attendance as soon as possible to make room for anyone else who may want to attend a class that day. No-shows or late cancellations will not be refunded.
Can I Book Private Sessions?
Membership does not include private lessons or sessions. These, however, can be booked on an appointment basis. If you would like more information about private lessons, private group sessions, or parties, feel free to email the studio.
The studio has a 5-star rating on Google with their students praising the instructors and studio environment for being nice and welcoming.

Pole dancing combines acrobatics and choreography. Like any other form of art, it has seen new moves, new faces, and new perspectives on old information. As with any dance activity, it can improve your fitness levels – it will increase strength, develop flexibility, and you’ll be using all those muscles for nothing. Soon, you’ll have those legs that you admire so much!
As a general rule, exercise produces endorphins, which make you feel good – however, pole dancing has much more emotional appeal than simply making you feel good.
Pole dancing is a captivating dance that is both graceful and empowering. Fitness and exercise routines claim to be the most popular activity worldwide. The moves are passed down to learners, but they are not meant to limit you. Pole dancing is a sport in which every pole dancer brings his or her own identity, passions, and ideas to their work.
At OpenDance, pole dancing is an inclusive, artistic movement that would be honored if you made it an important part of your life, as so many others have done before you.
