Kinetic Connection-Yoga and Dance.

Kinetic Connection-Yoga and Dance.

Kinetic Connection is primarily an online studio but has a physical location( a 3-acre farm) on the outskirts of Boulder. It was founded in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic when movement, exploration, and connection were limited. Its main goal is to help people re-establish connections within themselves through yoga and dance.

The studio offers yoga and over 25 styles of dance classes, including pole dancing. As a student, you’ll enjoy the freedom of choosing the place and time to take the classes, since it’s online and open 24/7.

For those that may want in-person instruction, the studio offers monthly in-person workshops, or alternatively, you can schedule private classes with any of the dance instructors.

Their prices are extremely low too! This is because their mission is not to make profits but to change the lives of their students and society at large. Most of the money collected is therefore donated to trusted organizations or charities.

The studio also provides a safe environment for its students, devoid of judgment, body shaming, and stigmatization. The classes are fun, challenging but attainable.

If you’d like to join, go ahead and book an appointment with them. They have a list of classes with general descriptions on their website that you can choose from and try.

Rockstar Pole Fitness is located in Westminster, 20 miles away from Boulder City. If you don’t mind a 22-minute drive from Boulder, then try this studio.

It offers both pole and non-pole dancing classes to adults from all backgrounds. The pole classes consist of levels 1 through to 4, with 1 being introduction and 4 being advanced. To proceed from one level to another, you’ll have to meet the expectations set of that level and the instructor has to mark you off the checklist.

The learners boast of a safe training space with supportive and encouraging staff. Here’s a review from Hannah Lemmons, a student at the center;

“Rockstar has changed my life! Not only are Jenna (the owner) and all the instructors fun and encouraging, but so are all the students! It truly is a family. They provide such a safe and accepting atmosphere to explore and just have fun while also getting a great workout!”

The business also provides hire services for parties at a rate of  $200 per hour for up to 10 people. Simply contact them to reserve a spot and have a blast!

If you’d like to join the Rockstar Family, however, you are advised to sign-up for classes in advance since they are almost always full. You are not guaranteed a spot with impromptu drop-ins. Wearing lotion on hands and legs to class is also discouraged.
